Once a week we offer jewelry appraisals by appointment.  Su McKenzie, a certified gemologist and jewelry appraiser by the Gemological Institute of America, provides expert written appraisals.  She offers appraisals for insurance, market value, and estates.

While we at the Karat Patch do not try to do everything, such as watch repair, we do freely give our opinions, advice, and referrals on anything jewelry related.  We constantly strive to put the customer’s needs before our own, and with our networking with hundreds of other jewelers in our buying groups, we have helped customers find answers to many of their difficult or unusual requests.

Jewelry Restyling
If the item in your jewelry box has gone out of style, or you simply would like to try something new, bring it to us and we can restyle to the exact specifications you wish.

Jewelry Repair
We have three repairmen that are trained in a variety of aspects in jewelry repair.  We can repair rings, earrings, pendants, chains, and pins.  Setting of stones in their original setting or a new style can be done on the premises.  We can also repair costume jewelry.

Watch Repair
Watch battery replacement are done on the premises. 

Eye Glass Repair
We repair most types of eyeglasses except titanium.

Pearl and Bead Restringing
We do custom stringing for your necklaces or bracelets and will always clean your jewelry before restringing.  It can be done in a number of different styles and we will go over which you might prefer before we begin.

Bridal Registry / Wish Lists
We do offer bridal registry to new brides and a wish list for all customers wishing to register for that special gift that you would like others to know you have an eye on, or to just remind yourself.

Engraving
We will gladly engrave and personalize any jewelry piece you wish, done by our in-store engraver.

Gift Wrapping
We offer this additional service completely free of charge.
