Store Policies
Returns & Exchanges – Unless otherwise specified below, your purchase may be exchanged or refunded within 7 days from the original purchase date by the original client when accompanied with the sales slip.  Store credit is permitted within 30 days of purchase.  Merchandise must be in original condition, and unworn conditional, in the priginal gift box with all warranty cards intact.  Sales items, special orders, altered items (including ring sizing), and custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable.  Gift receipts will be issued a merchandise credit only.  Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.  Refunds on merchandise in layaway will be given within 7 days of the deposit date.  After 7 days, no refund of the deposit will be given.  Refunds on check sales will be refunded 10 business days from the date of sale.

Special and Custom Orders – We regret that special and custom orders are not returnable, and no refund or exchange can be made.  All special orders and custom orders require a 25% nonrefundable deposit.  A special order includes any jewelry, gemstone, watch or gift item ordered or altered at the client’s request.  A custom order is a custom design requiring the manufacture of or fabrication of a jewelry item to fit or accept a customer’s gemstone and/or other purchased gemstones to create a jewelry design specified by a specific client.

Gemstone Enhancement Disclosure – Purchasers of colored gemstones should be aware that natural gemstones are processed from the time they are extracted from the earth by one or more traditionally accepted trade practices.  Some colored gemstones have probably been subject to a stable possibly undetectable enhancement process using standard gemological equipment.  In some cases highly sophisticated instrumentation generally found only in research laboratories may be required to detect treatment.  All relevant information will be readily provided to the best of our knowledge.

White Gold Enhancement Disclosure – Most white gold jewelry pieces are rhodium finished.  This is not a permanent treatment.

Guarantee on Jewelry Repair – All jewelry repairs are guaranteed for 12 months, excluding unreasonable wear and/or abuse.  The store responsibility is for the original repair, sizing, erc., but is not responsible for loss of gemstones.  Loss of diamonds or gemstones is the responsibility of the owner via homeowners or renters insurance coverage.

Layaways – Items may be put on layaway for up to three months with a deposit of 25%. A monthly payment is required.  After the initial deposit, any layaway cancellation will result in forfeiture of deposit as a restocking fee.

Servicing and Cleaning – We will clean your jewelry (ultrasonic and steam) and check the settings free of charge.  We recommend this be done at least twice a year.  Parkers’ Karat Patch is not responsible for the loss of stones due to worn prongs and settings, or loose stones when cleaning.
